The Moderno 1 is available at Just Grillin Outdoor Living, Tampa’s source for premium fire pits, fire bowls, and outdoor living products.
A Centerpiece Made for Gathering
The Moderno 1 is a wide, open bowl, so everyone seated around it has a clear view of the flames and can share the warmth. The 39-inch diameter is large enough to be the focal point of a seating area without overwhelming a typical residential patio. It works well with sectional seating, a ring of chairs, or lounge furniture placed around it. Many customers use it as the centerpiece of a backyard entertaining space, a pool deck, or a covered porch where the family spends its evenings.
Handcrafted GFRC Concrete Construction
The Moderno 1 bowl is made from glass fiber reinforced cement (GFRC), a material used in high-end outdoor products for its strength and durability. GFRC is lighter than traditional poured concrete but holds up to repeated heat cycles and outdoor exposure. Even so, the Moderno 1 weighs about 210 lbs., which gives it a solid, stable feel once it’s in place.
Prism Hardscapes finishes every bowl by hand with a custom patina process. Each bowl has subtle variation in tone and texture, so no two units are exactly alike.
Burner, Ignition, and Fire Media
The Moderno 1 comes ready to enjoy and needs no assembly. Here is what’s built into the unit:
- 15″ stainless steel “cross” burner: the cross-shaped design spreads the flame across the bowl for even heat and a full flame
- Stainless steel burner plate: a durable base for the burner and fire media
- 65,000 BTU/hr output: enough to keep a group warm
- Key valve ignition: the valve housing is on the side of the unit and easy to reach, with clearly labeled controls
- Lava rock fire media included: natural volcanic rock that stands up to the heat and contrasts with the flames
The Moderno 1 is compatible with both propane (LP) and natural gas. If your patio has a gas line, you can run it on natural gas for a steady supply of fuel. If it doesn’t, propane works with a standard tank (sold separately).
Want Electronic Ignition? The PH-Ignite System Is Sold Separately
The Moderno 1 comes standard with key valve ignition. If you want electronic ignition, you must purchase the PH-Ignite system separately. It is not included with the fire bowl. PH-Ignite lets you light your fire feature with the flip of a switch instead of a key valve. Ask our Tampa team about adding PH-Ignite to your order so you get the ignition setup you want from day one.
Six Finishes to Match Your Outdoor Space
The Moderno 1 comes in six hand-finished colors. Because each bowl is finished by hand, expect natural variation from one bowl to the next. The notes below are a guide, and we recommend seeing the finishes in person at our Tampa showroom.
- Café: a warm, earthy brown that pairs well with wood decking, travertine, and natural stone
- Natural: a soft, neutral tone that blends with most outdoor color palettes
- Ebony: a deep, dark finish that gives a bold, modern look and stands out against lighter pavers
- Pewter: a cool gray that suits contemporary designs and works with stainless steel, black, or white furniture
- Ultra White: a bright, crisp finish for a clean, modern look, especially against dark landscaping or surrounding hardscape
- Coastal: a relaxed, light finish suited to pool decks, beach-style patios, and bright outdoor spaces
Think about your patio surface, house exterior, outdoor furniture, and landscaping when you choose. A dark finish like Ebony creates contrast on a light patio. A lighter finish like Natural or Pewter blends in with the surroundings.
