Editor’s Note: Every grill on this list is one we have personally sold, installed and stood behind. These rankings are based on more than two decades of real-world experience—not affiliate commissions or manufacturer sponsorships.
The Truth About Buying a Luxury Gas Grill
Walk into any outdoor kitchen showroom or spend ten minutes searching online for the “best luxury gas grill,” and you’ll quickly discover one thing—everyone claims to have the best.
Every manufacturer promises superior performance. Every review says their grill is “restaurant quality.” Every marketing brochure is filled with polished stainless steel, perfect grill marks, and claims of unmatched craftsmanship.
The reality?
Not all luxury grills are created equal.
Some brands excel at innovation but fall short in long-term reliability. Others build incredible grills but lack the accessories needed to create a complete outdoor kitchen. Some offer outstanding warranties on paper but make warranty claims frustrating when something eventually needs attention.
After designing and building custom outdoor living spaces throughout the Tampa Bay area for more than two decades, we’ve learned that the best grill isn’t always the one with the biggest price tag or the flashiest features.
It’s the grill that continues delivering exceptional performance ten or even twenty years after it’s installed.
That perspective only comes from experience.
At Just Grillin Outdoor Living, we’ve helped thousands of homeowners throughout Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Wesley Chapel, and surrounding communities design outdoor kitchens that fit their lifestyle. Along the way, we’ve sold most luxury grill brands on the market.
We’ve seen which grills consistently exceed expectations.
We’ve seen which manufacturers stand behind their products.
And we’ve seen which grills clients still rave about years after purchase.
This guide represents everything we’ve learned.
How We Ranked These Luxury Gas Grills
Unlike many online “Top 10” lists that simply compare specifications or repeat manufacturer marketing, our rankings are based on decades of firsthand experience working with these products.
Every grill was evaluated using the same criteria.
Build Quality
How well is the grill engineered? Does it use premium materials? How well does it hold up after years of outdoor exposure?
Cooking Performance
Can the grill maintain consistent temperatures? Does it create even heat across the cooking surface? How versatile is it for different cooking styles?
Reliability
What happens after five, ten, or fifteen years of ownership? Does it continue performing at a high level with routine maintenance?
Warranty & Manufacturer Support
A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it. We evaluated both warranty coverage and how manufacturers support dealers and customers when issues arise.
Innovation
Does the grill offer meaningful advancements that improve the cooking experience, or are its features simply marketing additions?
Customer Satisfaction
Perhaps the most important factor of all.
Over thousands of conversations with homeowners, we’ve developed a strong understanding of which grills owners genuinely love years after their purchase.
What Makes a Luxury Gas Grill Worth the Investment?
It’s easy to look at the price of a luxury grill and wonder whether it’s really worth spending several thousand dollars when less expensive options are available.
The answer depends on what you’re looking for.
If you grill burgers a few weekends each summer, a premium luxury grill may be more than you need.
But if your outdoor kitchen is the heart of your entertaining space, investing in a high-quality grill pays dividends every time you cook.
A luxury gas grill isn’t just about cooking food.
It’s about consistency.
It’s about reliability.
It’s about craftsmanship.
And it’s about creating memorable experiences with family and friends.
Many of the grills on this list are still performing exceptionally well after fifteen to twenty years of regular use. That kind of longevity changes the conversation from purchase price to long-term value.
Rather than replacing a grill every few years, you’re investing in something designed to become a permanent part of your outdoor living space.
Before You Buy: Things Every Homeowner Should Consider
Before choosing a luxury grill, ask yourself a few important questions.
How often do you cook outdoors?
Someone who grills several nights each week will value premium construction, superior heat control, and durability much more than someone who cooks outdoors a handful of times each year.
Do you entertain often?
If your backyard regularly hosts parties, holidays, or family gatherings, cooking capacity becomes much more important.
Do you want an entire outdoor kitchen?
Some manufacturers offer complete outdoor kitchen ecosystems with refrigeration, storage, side burners, pizza ovens, power burners, sinks, and specialty cooking equipment.
Others focus almost exclusively on grills.
If you’re designing a cohesive outdoor kitchen, this can become an important factor.
Where do you live?
Florida’s heat, humidity, rain, and coastal salt air present unique challenges.
A grill that performs beautifully in Arizona or Colorado may experience significantly different wear near the Gulf Coast.
That’s one reason local experience matters when making recommendations.

Our Top 5 Luxury Gas Grills for 2026
After evaluating craftsmanship, long-term reliability, customer satisfaction, innovation, warranty support, and overall value, these are the five luxury gas grills we believe stand above the rest.
#5 – TEC Sterling Patio FR Gas Grill
The Most Unique Luxury Gas Grill on the Market
Best For: Homeowners who want exceptional temperature control, virtually zero flare-ups, and one of the most versatile infrared cooking systems available.

When most people think of an infrared gas grill, they picture burners that produce intense direct heat for searing steaks. While several luxury grill manufacturers incorporate infrared technology into a dedicated sear burner, TEC Grills takes a completely different approach.
Instead of placing infrared burners beneath one section of the cooking surface, TEC designed an entirely new cooking system centered around a proprietary infrared glass panel that sits above the burners and below the cooking grates. It may sound unconventional at first, but after cooking on one, it quickly becomes clear why TEC has earned such a loyal following.
The result is one of the most forgiving, versatile, and consistent luxury gas grills available today.
While TEC lands at the No. 5 spot on our list, don’t mistake that ranking as a criticism of the grill itself. In fact, from a reliability standpoint, it is one of the strongest products we sell. The reason it doesn’t rank higher has more to do with its niche appeal than its performance. Many shoppers simply aren’t familiar with the technology, and its limited size offerings and smaller family of outdoor kitchen components make it a better fit for some homeowners than others.
For the right buyer, however, the TEC Sterling Patio FR is an outstanding investment.
What Makes TEC Different?
Nearly every traditional gas grill works the same way.
Gas burners heat ceramic briquettes, flame tamers, or stainless steel heat plates. Those components then radiate heat upward to your food while also helping reduce flare-ups.
TEC throws that entire concept out the window.
Instead of using metal heat shields or ceramic briquettes, the burners heat a thick infrared glass panel. Once heated, that glass becomes one enormous radiant cooking surface that distributes heat remarkably evenly across the grill.
The result is a cooking experience that feels different almost immediately.
You’ll notice:
- Far fewer hot and cold spots
- Extremely consistent temperatures across the cooking surface
- Virtually no flare-ups
- Better moisture retention in food
- Less grease burning inside the grill
- Easier cleanup after cooking
For homeowners who have spent years battling grease fires while cooking burgers or chicken, this feature alone can be a game changer.
Built for Precision, Not Just Power
One misconception about TEC is that because it only uses two burners on its larger 44-inch model, it must not generate enough heat.
The exact opposite is true.
Each burner produces 30,000 BTUs, but because the infrared glass efficiently transfers and retains heat, the grill reaches temperatures that rival—or exceed—many traditional luxury grills using significantly more burners.
Even more impressive is its usable cooking range.
The TEC Sterling Patio FR can comfortably maintain temperatures around 200°F for slow roasting and smoking before climbing all the way to approximately 900°F for steakhouse-quality searing.
That enormous temperature range makes it one of the most versatile grills on this list.
Whether you’re roasting vegetables, baking pizzas, reverse-searing ribeye steaks, or preparing delicate seafood, the grill adapts beautifully.
One of the Lowest Warranty Rates We’ve Ever Seen
Over the past two decades, we’ve sold countless premium grills from many of the industry’s leading manufacturers.
Very few have matched TEC’s long-term reliability.
In our experience, TEC owners generate some of the lowest warranty claims of any luxury grill we carry.
That’s not marketing language.
It’s simply what we’ve observed after years of supporting our customers.
Replacement part requests are rare.
Service calls are uncommon.
Even components that many customers initially worry about—like the infrared glass cooking surface—have proven remarkably durable in everyday use.
On paper, the glass carries only a one-year warranty.
In reality, we have yet to replace one because of normal residential use.
That speaks volumes about both the engineering behind the product and the confidence we’ve developed in recommending it.
Surprisingly Versatile Beyond Grilling

Another feature that often surprises homeowners is how many cooking methods the TEC accommodates.
Because the infrared cooking surface heats so evenly, it can function almost like an oversized commercial cooking surface.
With TEC’s optional accessories, homeowners can transform the grill into much more than simply a place to cook burgers and steaks.
Available accessories include:
- Professional griddle plate
- Fryer and steamer system
- Infrared roasting accessory
- Smoker system
- Expanded warming rack
For homeowners who enjoy experimenting outdoors, TEC becomes an incredibly capable cooking appliance rather than simply another gas grill.
In many cases, it can even eliminate the need for installing a separate side burner.
Crafted in America
TEC manufactures the Sterling Patio FR in South Carolina, using premium 304 stainless steel throughout the grill’s construction.
The fit and finish are excellent.
The weld quality is impressive.
Everything about the grill feels substantial without being overcomplicated.
In an industry where some manufacturers have shifted production overseas, many buyers still appreciate investing in an American-made product backed by decades of engineering experience.
Where the TEC Falls Short
As much as we admire this grill, no product is perfect.
The TEC’s biggest obstacle isn’t performance.
It’s perception.
Because no other major luxury grill manufacturer uses this infrared glass cooking system, many shoppers simply don’t understand it during the buying process.
When customers compare grills side by side in a showroom, they naturally gravitate toward designs that feel familiar.
The TEC often gets overlooked—not because it’s inferior, but because it’s different.

Size selection is another limitation.
The Sterling Patio FR is available only in 26-inch and 44-inch models, which can make planning an outdoor kitchen more challenging compared to brands offering 30-, 36-, and 42-inch options.
TEC also doesn’t offer the expansive collection of storage drawers, refrigeration, specialty burners, and outdoor kitchen accessories found with manufacturers like Alfresco, Fire Magic, or DCS. If creating a perfectly coordinated outdoor kitchen is a priority, this narrower product lineup may be a deciding factor.
Finally, while these omissions aren’t deal breakers, it’s worth noting that the grill does not include interior grill lighting or a rotisserie system—features many buyers expect in this price category.
Pros
- Exceptional infrared cooking technology
- Virtually eliminates flare-ups
- Extremely even cooking temperatures
- Broad 200°F–900°F cooking range
- Outstanding long-term reliability
- Very low warranty claim history based on our experience
- Made in the USA
- Premium 304 stainless steel construction
- No electricity required for ignition
- Excellent lineup of cooking accessories
- Can replace the need for a separate side burner in some outdoor kitchen designs
Cons
- Available only in 26-inch and 44-inch sizes
- Unique cooking technology can be misunderstood by shoppers
- Smaller family of complementary outdoor kitchen products
- No interior lighting
- No rotisserie option
Who Should Buy the TEC Sterling Patio FR?
If your priorities are cooking performance, reliability, and versatility, the TEC deserves serious consideration.
It’s especially well suited for homeowners who cook frequently, appreciate precision, and want a grill that performs just as well ten years from now as it does on day one.
For buyers who value engineering over flashy features, the TEC represents one of the smartest long-term investments in the luxury grill market.
Who May Want to Consider Another Grill?
If you’re designing a large, fully integrated outdoor kitchen with matching refrigeration, storage, specialty cooking appliances, and coordinated stainless-steel components, another manufacturer may offer a more complete ecosystem.
Likewise, if interior lighting, a rotisserie system, or more common sizing options are high on your wish list, there are better fits elsewhere on this list.
Our Experience at Just Grillin Outdoor Living
If we judged this ranking solely on reliability and customer satisfaction after the sale, TEC would be difficult to beat. Its placement at No. 5 isn’t a reflection of poor quality—quite the opposite. It’s simply a more specialized grill that appeals to a narrower audience. For homeowners who embrace its innovative infrared cooking system, it often becomes one of the most-loved grills we’ve ever sold.

#4 – Fire Magic Echelon Diamond Series
The Timeless American Classic That Continues to Deliver
Best For: Homeowners looking for a proven luxury gas grill backed by decades of engineering, outstanding dealer support, and exceptional cooking performance.

For many outdoor cooking enthusiasts, Fire Magic is one of the first names that comes to mind when discussing luxury gas grills—and for good reason.
Long before outdoor kitchens became one of the fastest-growing home improvement projects in America, Fire Magic was already building premium gas grills in California. Their reputation wasn’t built through flashy marketing campaigns or trendy features. It was earned by producing reliable, American-made grills that consistently performed year after year.
Today, the Echelon Diamond Series represents the pinnacle of Fire Magic’s lineup. It combines premium craftsmanship, powerful cooking performance, thoughtful design, and one of the strongest dealer support networks in the outdoor living industry.
While it doesn’t claim the top spot on our list, it remains one of the safest recommendations we make to homeowners investing in a high-end outdoor kitchen.
Why Fire Magic Earned the No. 4 Spot
One thing you’ll quickly notice as you read through our rankings is that every grill in the Top Five excels in different ways.
Fire Magic doesn’t necessarily dominate one specific category.
Instead, it scores exceptionally well across almost every category.
Build quality?
Excellent.
Performance?
Excellent.
Warranty support?
Excellent.
Dealer availability?
Excellent.
Longevity?
Excellent.
It simply doesn’t have the standout innovations or feature advantages that push a few competitors slightly ahead.
That’s hardly a criticism.
In fact, consistency is exactly why Fire Magic has remained one of the industry’s benchmark brands for decades.
Built Like a Professional Appliance
The first thing you’ll notice when opening an Echelon Diamond is how solid everything feels.
The hood closes with authority.
The cooking grates are substantial.
The burners are incredibly well constructed.
Nothing feels thin or inexpensive.
Fire Magic manufactures the Echelon Diamond using premium 304 stainless steel throughout the grill, giving homeowners confidence that the grill is designed to withstand years of exposure to Florida’s heat, humidity, and changing weather conditions.
When investing several thousand dollars into a grill, details like this matter.
The overall fit and finish continue to be among the best in the luxury grill category.
Powerful Cast Stainless Steel Burners
At the heart of every Fire Magic Echelon Diamond are heavy-duty cast stainless steel burners producing approximately 31,000 BTUs per burner.
While BTU numbers alone don’t determine cooking performance, these burners deliver impressive heat while maintaining durability over many years of regular use.
Cast stainless construction offers several advantages over thinner burner designs.
They’re highly resistant to corrosion.
They resist clogging better than many competitors.
They distribute heat efficiently.
Perhaps most importantly, Fire Magic backs them with a lifetime warranty, demonstrating tremendous confidence in their longevity.
Diamond Sear Cooking Grates Really Do Make a Difference

One feature unique to Fire Magic is its Diamond Sear Cooking Grates.
Rather than using traditional round or flat cooking rods, Fire Magic designed a patented grate profile that increases the amount of metal contacting your food.
Why does this matter?
More surface contact creates:
- Better caramelization
- More defined grill marks
- Improved heat transfer
- Better overall searing performance
It’s a subtle engineering improvement, but one experienced grillers quickly appreciate.
Instead of focusing on flashy technology, Fire Magic invested in improving one of the grill’s most important cooking surfaces.
Thoughtful Features You’ll Appreciate Every Time You Cook
Luxury isn’t always about adding more technology.
Sometimes it’s about making the cooking experience easier.
The Echelon Diamond includes several premium conveniences that homeowners genuinely use.
Interior halogen lighting makes nighttime grilling dramatically easier.
Illuminated control knobs not only look beautiful after sunset but also improve visibility when adjusting burners.
The hot surface ignition system is another feature we appreciate.
Unlike traditional spark ignition systems that rely on repeated clicking to ignite gas, Fire Magic uses a hot surface ignition that’s generally more dependable over the long term.
Although no ignition system is completely maintenance-free, we’ve found this design to be among the more reliable systems available.
An Entire Outdoor Kitchen Ecosystem
One area where Fire Magic truly shines is the breadth of its outdoor kitchen lineup.
Buying a grill is only part of creating an outdoor living space.
Many homeowners also want:
- Side burners
- Power burners
- Refrigeration
- Storage drawers
- Trash pull-outs
- Sinks
- Cocktail stations
- Pizza ovens
- Specialty cooking appliances
Fire Magic offers one of the industry’s most complete product families, allowing homeowners to create a beautifully coordinated outdoor kitchen without mixing multiple manufacturers.
For many clients, that’s a significant advantage.
Excellent Warranty Support
Warranty coverage is one area where Fire Magic continues to perform well.
In addition to lifetime coverage on key stainless steel components such as the burners and cooking grates, Fire Magic includes two years of parts and labor on the grill.
Another detail worth mentioning is something most buyers never think about until they need service.
Fire Magic typically covers shipping costs on approved warranty parts, helping reduce out-of-pocket expenses during warranty claims.
Small details like this often separate premium manufacturers from average ones.
Where Fire Magic Falls Behind
No grill is perfect, including this one.
The biggest reason Fire Magic lands at No. 4 rather than higher on our list is that, while it performs exceptionally well across nearly every category, it doesn’t clearly outperform the competition in any single area.
It’s an outstanding traditional gas grill.
It simply isn’t the most innovative.
Another consideration is pricing.
The Echelon Diamond sits near the upper end of the luxury grill market. At that investment level, some competing grills include additional features or more advanced cooking technologies.
One option we typically encourage homeowners to skip is the optional glass viewing window built into the hood.
While it may seem appealing in a showroom, we’ve generally found it adds little practical value while increasing cost. Most owners rarely use it after the initial excitement wears off.
Finally, in our experience, Fire Magic cooking surfaces can exhibit slight temperature variations from one area of the grill to another. These hot and cool zones aren’t severe enough to affect everyday grilling, but they are noticeable when compared with some of the higher-ranked grills on this list.
Pros
- Made in the USA
- Premium 304 stainless steel construction
- Powerful cast stainless steel burners
- Lifetime burner warranty
- Diamond Sear cooking grates produce excellent grill marks
- Reliable hot surface ignition
- Interior cooking lights
- Illuminated control knobs
- Large dealer network makes warranty parts accessible
- Extensive outdoor kitchen product lineup
- Fire Magic pays shipping on approved warranty parts
- Two-year parts and labor warranty
Cons
- One-year warranty on the ignition system is shorter than we’d like
- Premium price without offering major performance advantages over higher-ranked competitors
- Optional glass viewing window adds cost without much practical benefit
- Minor hot and cool spots across portions of the cooking surface
Who Should Buy the Fire Magic Echelon Diamond?
If you’re looking for a luxury grill with an outstanding reputation, dependable performance, and long-term manufacturer support, Fire Magic is difficult to overlook.
It’s especially well suited for homeowners building a complete outdoor kitchen who value having matching components—from refrigeration and storage to specialty cooking appliances—all under one trusted brand.
For buyers who appreciate traditional engineering refined over decades rather than chasing the latest trends, the Echelon Diamond remains one of the strongest choices available.
Who May Want to Consider Another Grill?
If your priorities lean toward cutting-edge innovation, perfectly even heat distribution, or maximizing features for the price, you may find stronger value higher on our list.
Likewise, shoppers who prioritize advanced technology or unique cooking capabilities may prefer brands like Hestan, DCS, or Alfresco.
Our Experience at Just Grillin Outdoor Living
Fire Magic has earned its reputation through consistency rather than gimmicks. Over the years, we’ve seen these grills perform reliably in outdoor kitchens across Florida, and the company’s strong dealer network makes ownership even more reassuring. While newer competitors have introduced more advanced features, Fire Magic remains one of the safest long-term investments in the luxury grill market.

#3 – Hestan Gas Grills
Where Professional Performance Meets Architectural Design
Best For: Homeowners who want a grill that performs as beautifully as it looks and appreciate thoughtful engineering, customization, and premium craftsmanship.

There are luxury grills that cook exceptionally well.
There are luxury grills that are beautifully built.
And then there’s Hestan—a grill that manages to combine outstanding performance with some of the most striking industrial design in the industry.
The first time most homeowners see a Hestan grill, they stop and take a second look.
Whether it’s the sculpted stainless-steel body, the commercial-inspired control panel, or one of Hestan’s signature color finishes, the grill immediately feels different. It doesn’t simply blend into an outdoor kitchen—it becomes one of its defining design elements.
While appearance alone would never earn a spot on this list, Hestan backs that visual appeal with thoughtful engineering, premium materials, and several innovations that genuinely improve the cooking experience.
That’s why it earns our No. 3 ranking.
A Fresh Perspective on Luxury Grilling
Compared to brands like Fire Magic, DCS, and Alfresco that have been industry leaders for decades, Hestan is a relative newcomer.
Surprisingly, that’s one of its biggest strengths.
Rather than being tied to decades-old designs, Hestan had the opportunity to study what worked—and what didn’t—from other luxury manufacturers before developing its own product line.
Instead of simply building another traditional gas grill, Hestan focused on refining the little details that homeowners interact with every time they cook.
The result is a grill that feels exceptionally well thought out.
Built to Become the Centerpiece of an Outdoor Kitchen

If design matters to you, few grills come close.
One of Hestan’s most recognizable features is its optional color control panel, available in several vibrant finishes inspired by the company’s professional cookware collections.
While many luxury grills look nearly identical in an outdoor kitchen, Hestan allows homeowners to introduce a subtle pop of color without sacrificing elegance.
Whether paired with natural stone, porcelain countertops, warm wood tones, or contemporary architecture, these accents help create an outdoor kitchen that feels more personalized and intentional.
Of course, stainless steel remains available for homeowners who prefer a timeless, understated look.
Professional Features You Won’t Find Everywhere
Hestan isn’t filled with gimmicks.
Instead, its innovations tend to solve real-world annoyances.
One of our favorite examples is the hidden rotisserie rod storage.
Anyone who has owned a rotisserie system knows the frustration of trying to find somewhere to store the long stainless rod when it’s not in use.
Hestan cleverly hides it inside the grill.
It’s a small touch.
But it’s exactly the kind of thoughtful engineering that reflects how carefully this grill was designed.
Another standout feature is the concealed rotisserie motor.
Not only does it create a much cleaner appearance, but it also helps reduce operational noise while protecting the motor from unnecessary exposure to the elements.
One of the Most Versatile Cooking Surfaces Available
Hestan’s cooking system was designed with flexibility in mind.
The heavy-duty diamond-cut stainless steel cooking grates are fully reversible, allowing homeowners to easily clean their grates using the power of heat cleaning and keep cooking uninterrupted.
The top warming rack is another feature that often goes unnoticed until you use it.
Unlike fixed warming racks found on many grills, Hestan offers three adjustable height positions, allowing you to customize cooking space depending on what you’re preparing.
It’s particularly useful when finishing thicker cuts of meat or gently warming bread and vegetables without overcooking them.
An Innovative Infrared Rotisserie System
One feature that truly separates Hestan from much of the competition is its roof-mounted infrared rotisserie burner.
Rather than placing the infrared burner toward the rear of the grill, Hestan positions it higher inside the hood.
This design provides two advantages.
First, it delivers excellent rotisserie performance by evenly browning meats.
Second—and perhaps more interesting—it allows the burner to double as an overhead broiler for foods placed on the upper cooking rack.
It’s a unique capability that adds another level of versatility for experienced outdoor cooks.
Built for Everyday Use
Like every grill in our Top Five, Hestan is manufactured using premium 304 stainless steel and built in the United States.
The overall craftsmanship is excellent.
Panel gaps are tight.
The hood operates smoothly.
The hardware feels substantial.
Even the briquette trays deserve mention.
They’re fully reversible, making periodic cleaning significantly easier than many competing designs.
It’s another example of Hestan solving problems homeowners actually encounter over years of ownership.
A Complete Outdoor Kitchen Collection
One reason Hestan ranks so highly is that the company understands homeowners aren’t just buying a grill.
They’re investing in an entire outdoor living experience.
Beyond gas grills, Hestan offers:
- Side burners
- Power burners
- Refrigeration
- Storage solutions
- Ventilation
- Specialty cooking appliances
Everything shares the same premium aesthetic, allowing homeowners to create a beautifully coordinated outdoor kitchen without mixing brands.
Where Hestan Falls Short
No product is without compromise.
For Hestan, the most significant concern isn’t performance.
It’s geography.
Here in Florida, particularly along coastal communities where salt air is constant, we’ve observed more long-term deterioration of certain components than with some of the higher-ranked grills on this list.
That doesn’t make Hestan a poor choice for coastal homeowners.
It simply means diligent cleaning and maintenance become even more important if your home is near the Gulf or the Atlantic.
Another consideration is burner output.
Hestan’s trellis burners produce approximately 25,000 BTUs each, making them slightly less powerful on paper than several competitors.
In everyday cooking, however, we’ve found the grill still reaches excellent cooking temperatures and delivers impressive performance.
BTU ratings alone rarely tell the full story.
Finally, warranty support in the Southeast has occasionally been more cumbersome than we’d like.
While Hestan stands behind its products, the warranty process has historically been less streamlined than brands like DCS or Fire Magic in our market.
Pros
- Beautiful, architectural design
- Optional signature color control panels
- Made in the USA
- Premium 304 stainless steel construction
- Hidden rotisserie storage
- Concealed, quieter rotisserie motor
- Roof-mounted infrared rotisserie burner doubles as overhead broiler
- Three-position adjustable warming rack
- Reversible diamond-cut cooking grates
- Reversible briquette trays for easier maintenance
- Optional infrared sear burner
- Full outdoor kitchen product line
- Lifetime warranty on grill body, burners, and cooking grates
Cons
- Trellis burners have lower BTU ratings than some competitors
- Coastal environments may require more diligent maintenance
- Warranty processing has been less convenient in the Southeast than some competing brands
Who Should Buy the Hestan?
If you’re building a premium outdoor kitchen where design matters just as much as cooking performance, Hestan deserves a very close look.
It’s an excellent choice for homeowners who appreciate thoughtful engineering, enjoy entertaining, and want an outdoor kitchen that feels custom rather than ordinary.
The optional color finishes also make Hestan particularly attractive for homeowners working with designers or architects who want every element of the space to feel intentional.
Who May Want to Consider Another Grill?
If your home sits directly on the coast and is regularly exposed to heavy salt air, you may prefer one of the higher-ranked grills on our list based on our long-term observations.
Likewise, buyers looking for the absolute highest heat output or the simplest warranty experience may find a better fit with DCS or Alfresco.
Our Experience at Just Grillin Outdoor Living
Hestan is the grill that surprises people the most. Homeowners are initially drawn to its beautiful design, but they quickly discover that the engineering goes far beyond appearances. The thoughtful storage solutions, adjustable cooking features, and refined craftsmanship make it one of the most enjoyable grills to use day after day. If this ranking were based on aesthetics alone, Hestan would likely be No. 1. Its placement at No. 3 simply reflects a few practical ownership considerations that kept it from moving higher.
Experience Hestan for Yourself
A Hestan grill is one of those products that’s best appreciated in person. From the feel of the cooking grates to the precision of the hood and the beauty of its signature finishes, photos simply don’t capture the full experience. Visit Just Grillin Outdoor Living to compare Hestan alongside the industry’s leading luxury grills and let our team help you determine whether it’s the right centerpiece for your outdoor kitchen.
#2 – DCS Series 9 Gas Grill
The Benchmark for Long-Term Reliability and Professional Performance
Best For: Homeowners who want one of the most dependable luxury gas grills ever built and value performance that stands the test of time.

Some grills become popular because they’re new.
Some become popular because they’re heavily marketed.
And then there are grills like the DCS Series 9, whose reputation has been earned one backyard at a time over decades of exceptional performance.
Long before luxury outdoor kitchens became mainstream, DCS was helping define what a premium built-in gas grill should be. Their commercial-inspired approach to outdoor cooking influenced much of the industry, and many of today’s luxury grills borrow concepts that DCS pioneered years ago.
While newer brands have introduced fresh styling and innovative features, the DCS Series 9 continues to excel where it matters most—build quality, cooking performance, and long-term ownership.
If someone asked us to recommend a luxury grill they could confidently expect to enjoy for the next 15 to 20 years, DCS would almost always be part of that conversation.
That’s why it earns our No. 2 ranking.
Why DCS Finished Just Short of the Top Spot
Choosing between DCS and our No. 1 grill was honestly one of the most difficult decisions in this guide.
The margin separating these two brands is incredibly small.
In many ways, DCS builds one of the finest gas grills available today.
The cooking performance is outstanding.
The craftsmanship is exceptional.
The warranty is excellent.
Customer satisfaction is consistently high.
The reason DCS narrowly misses the top position has less to do with what it lacks and more to do with the completeness of the overall ownership experience offered by our No. 1 pick.
If your priorities center almost entirely on cooking performance and long-term durability, you could make a very compelling argument for placing DCS first.
Built Like Commercial Kitchen Equipment
The first impression most homeowners have when opening a DCS grill is simple:
This thing is built differently.
The hood feels incredibly substantial.
The cooking grates are among the heaviest in the luxury grill category.
Every hinge, handle, and control knob communicates durability.
Nothing feels over-engineered for the sake of appearances.
Instead, everything feels engineered for decades of use.
Constructed entirely from premium 304 stainless steel, the Series 9 is designed to withstand years of outdoor exposure while maintaining its structural integrity and cooking performance.
It’s the kind of grill that inspires confidence every time you lift the hood.
Reversible Cast Stainless Steel Cooking Grates
One of the defining features of every DCS Series 9 grill is its reversible cast stainless steel cooking grates.
Unlike traditional round stainless rods, these heavy-duty cast grates provide two distinct cooking surfaces.
One side is designed for foods with higher fat content, helping channel grease efficiently into the grill’s grease management system while minimizing flare-ups.
Flip the grate over, and the opposite surface is better suited for delicate foods like fish and vegetables.
It’s a thoughtful feature that many homeowners initially overlook but quickly come to appreciate after regular use.
Not only do the grates improve cooking versatility, but they’re also backed by a lifetime warranty, reflecting the confidence DCS has in their durability.
Exceptional Heat Distribution
Consistent heat is one of the defining characteristics of a great luxury grill.
The DCS Series 9 performs exceptionally well in this regard.
Its ceramic radiant system distributes heat evenly across the cooking surface while helping minimize temperature fluctuations.
The ceramic rods themselves deserve special recognition.
In our experience, DCS uses some of the most durable ceramic radiant rods found in any luxury grill.
While no ceramic system is immune to accidental breakage, we’ve found these rods generally hold up better than many competing designs over years of regular cooking.
The result is dependable, predictable cooking performance whether you’re preparing steaks, seafood, vegetables, or an entire meal for family and friends.
Designed for Serious Outdoor Cooking
Luxury grilling isn’t just about cooking burgers.
It’s about versatility.
DCS understands that.
The Series 9 includes several features that experienced outdoor cooks truly appreciate.
Adjustable warming rack positions provide additional flexibility depending on what you’re preparing.
Excellent interior lighting makes nighttime grilling effortless.
The hot surface ignition system delivers dependable burner ignition while reducing the frustrations sometimes associated with traditional spark igniters.
For homeowners wanting even more cooking power, DCS also offers an optional infrared sear burner, allowing you to create restaurant-quality crusts on steaks and chops.
Another feature we particularly like is the included charcoal smoker tray.
Rather than requiring the purchase of separate accessories, DCS includes this feature with the grill, giving homeowners another cooking option right out of the box.
It’s an excellent way to introduce authentic charcoal flavor while maintaining the convenience of gas cooking.
Outstanding Service Support
One area where DCS separates itself from many competitors is after the sale.
Because DCS is part of Fisher & Paykel, the company maintains its own network of factory-authorized service technicians rather than relying exclusively on independent service providers.
That means homeowners typically receive support from technicians who specialize in DCS products.
When investing thousands of dollars into a premium appliance, that level of manufacturer involvement provides meaningful peace of mind.
Combined with a two-year parts and labor warranty and lifetime coverage on the burners, grill body, and cooking grates, DCS continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction long after installation.
Built for the Long Haul

Custom Outdoor Kitchen with DCS Gas Grill and Vent Hood WEB
Perhaps the greatest compliment we can give DCS is this:
Many of our customers simply don’t replace them.
Over the years, we’ve seen countless DCS grills continue performing beautifully after 15 to 20 years of regular use.
That’s remarkable.
In an era when many products seem designed for shorter lifespans, DCS remains refreshingly committed to building grills intended to become permanent fixtures in an outdoor kitchen.
When clients ask us which grills consistently provide the greatest long-term value, DCS is always near the top of that conversation.
Where DCS Falls Short
Despite all of its strengths, there are a few reasons DCS doesn’t claim our No. 1 ranking.
First, manufacturing.
While the Series 9 is beautifully built, it’s manufactured in Mexico rather than the United States. For many buyers this won’t matter, but some homeowners specifically prioritize American-made products when shopping in the luxury category.
Second, sizing.
The Series 9 is available in 36-inch and 48-inch models.
While those sizes work well for many outdoor kitchens, we occasionally find ourselves wishing DCS offered a 30-inch option for smaller projects and a 42-inch model for homeowners seeking something between the existing offerings.
Temperature control is another small consideration.
Because the grill is exceptionally powerful, maintaining very low cooking temperatures for extended periods can require a bit more attention than some competing grills.
Finally, while DCS offers outstanding warranty support, warranty processing can occasionally take longer than we’d like due to Fisher & Paykel’s corporate operations being headquartered in New Zealand.
These are relatively minor criticisms in the grand scheme of ownership, but they were enough to separate DCS from our No. 1 overall pick.
Pros
- Exceptional build quality
- Premium 304 stainless steel construction
- Reversible cast stainless steel cooking grates
- Outstanding ceramic radiant cooking system
- Durable ceramic rods

- Can be more difficult to maintain very low cooking temperatures

Who Should Buy the DCS Series 9?
If your priority is owning one of the most dependable luxury gas grills ever built, DCS deserves to be near the top of your list.
It’s an outstanding choice for homeowners who grill frequently, entertain often, and want confidence that their investment will continue performing beautifully for many years.
For buyers who appreciate timeless engineering over trendy features, the Series 9 represents one of the safest long-term purchases in the luxury grill market.
Who May Want to Consider Another Grill?
If purchasing an American-made grill is a top priority, or if you’re looking for a wider range of grill sizes and accessory options, you may find our No. 1 pick to be an even better fit.
Likewise, homeowners who regularly cook low-and-slow barbecue may appreciate the additional temperature flexibility offered by some competing grills.
Our Experience at Just Grillin Outdoor Living
If reliability, craftsmanship, and long-term ownership were the only categories being judged, DCS could easily occupy the top spot on this list. We’ve watched these grills continue performing for decades with remarkably few issues, and owners consistently tell us they’d buy another without hesitation. The reason DCS finishes at No. 2 isn’t because it falls short—it’s because our No. 1 grill simply offers a more complete overall package when you consider versatility, sizing options, accessory selection, and overall ownership experience.
Experience DCS Side by Side
The DCS Series 9 is one of those grills that impresses even more in person than it does on paper. Visit Just Grillin Outdoor Living to compare the DCS Series 9 alongside the other leading luxury grills in our showroom. We’ll walk you through the differences, explain which features truly matter, and help you choose the grill that’s the best fit for your outdoor kitchen and the way you love to cook.
#1 – Alfresco Gas Grills
The Most Complete Luxury Gas Grill You Can Buy
Best For: Homeowners who want the most well-rounded luxury gas grill on the market—one that excels in performance, reliability, versatility, and long-term ownership.

Picking the best luxury gas grill isn’t as simple as comparing BTU ratings or counting features.
If it were, this list would look very different.
Instead, we’ve evaluated every grill through the lens of what truly matters after years of ownership.
How well does it cook?
How reliable is it?
Does the manufacturer continue supporting the product?
Does it integrate seamlessly into a complete outdoor kitchen?
Do homeowners still love it years after installation?
When we considered every one of those questions together, Alfresco consistently rose to the top.
Will everyone agree with this ranking?
Probably not.
Luxury grills are a lot like luxury vehicles. Ask ten enthusiasts to rank Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Aston Martin, and Ferrari, and you’ll likely receive ten different answers.
That’s what makes this category so enjoyable.
Every grill in our Top Five is outstanding.
But if someone asked us today, “Which luxury gas grill would you buy if you were building your own outdoor kitchen?”
Our answer would be Alfresco.
Why Alfresco Earned Our No. 1 Ranking
One word kept coming to mind throughout this entire evaluation.
Balance.
Alfresco may not dominate every single category.
It isn’t the most visually dramatic.
It doesn’t produce the highest BTU numbers.
It doesn’t reinvent itself every few years with flashy redesigns.
Instead, Alfresco simply does almost everything exceptionally well.
Outstanding cooking performance.
Excellent craftsmanship.
Strong warranty.
Exceptional accessory selection.
Multiple size options.
Excellent reliability.
Professional cooking features.
Thoughtful engineering.
When all of those qualities are combined, Alfresco delivers what we believe is the most complete ownership experience available today.
Proven Through Consistency
One thing we’ve appreciated about Alfresco over the years is something many shoppers never notice.
Consistency.
Especially in the years following COVID, several manufacturers experienced changes in production, quality control, or supply chains.
Some brands adapted better than others.
Alfresco remained remarkably consistent.
The grills we receive today continue reflecting the same level of craftsmanship we’ve come to expect over many years.
That consistency gives us confidence recommending the brand to homeowners making a significant investment.
Two Outstanding Grill Platforms
Today, Alfresco offers two flagship built-in grill series.
ALXE Series
The ALXE has become one of the industry’s benchmark luxury grills.
Its design has remained largely unchanged over the years—not because it lacks innovation, but because it simply works.
Sometimes the best engineering doesn’t need constant redesign.
AIPG Series

The newer AIPG platform builds upon everything that made the ALXE successful while introducing meaningful upgrades.
These include:
- Beautiful, illuminated control lighting
- Built-in wireless food temperature monitoring
- New ThermaGlass radiant burner shields
- Refined aesthetics
- Enhanced user experience
Importantly, both grills are built on the same proven platform, meaning homeowners aren’t sacrificing reliability when choosing the newer design.
Built for Serious Outdoor Cooking
Cooking versatility is one of Alfresco’s greatest strengths.
Every grill comes standard with features many competitors charge extra for—or don’t offer at all.
Among our favorites is the integrated smoker burner and smoker box.
This allows homeowners to introduce authentic wood-smoke flavor while still enjoying the convenience of gas cooking.
It’s one of those features many clients don’t realize they’ll appreciate until they begin using it.
For steak lovers, Alfresco also offers an optional infrared Sear Zone burner, capable of producing restaurant-quality crusts while maintaining juicy interiors.
The hidden rotisserie motor is another hallmark of premium engineering.
It creates a cleaner appearance while protecting the motor from unnecessary weather exposure.
Combined, these features transform Alfresco from simply a gas grill into a complete outdoor cooking system.
Four Sizes That Fit Nearly Every Project
One area where Alfresco separates itself from much of the competition is flexibility.
Rather than forcing homeowners into limited sizing options, Alfresco offers:
- 30-inch
- 36-inch
- 42-inch
- 56-inch
Whether you’re designing a compact courtyard kitchen or an expansive entertaining space, there’s an Alfresco that fits naturally within the design.
This flexibility also simplifies outdoor kitchen planning for designers and contractors.
Thoughtful Engineering You Don’t Always See
One thing we’ve learned over the years is that great engineering often hides behind the scenes.
Alfresco is full of examples.
Its air cooling curtain helps protect sensitive components inside the control panel by reducing excessive heat buildup during cooking.
Special protective coverings around internal wiring further improve long-term durability.
These aren’t flashy showroom features.
Most homeowners will never notice them.
But after years of ownership, they’re exactly the kinds of engineering decisions that help explain why Alfresco continues earning such a strong reputation for reliability.
Built in America
Every Alfresco grill is manufactured in California using premium 304 stainless steel.
The fit and finish remain among the best in the industry.
The hood feels substantial.
The welding is clean.
The components inspire confidence.
For homeowners who value American craftsmanship, Alfresco continues checking every box.
The Most Complete Outdoor Cooking System

If there’s one area where Alfresco truly distances itself from much of the competition, it’s versatility.
The grill itself is only the beginning.
Alfresco offers one of the broadest collections of premium outdoor cooking accessories available such as the infrared sear burner, charcoal/wood cooking tray, steamer/fryer insert and indirect roasting pod for the grill. This allows you to replace cooking in your homes kitchen and bring everything outside.
Homeowners can build a kitchen featuring:
- Side burners
- Sear burners
- Refrigeration
- Ice makers
- Beverage centers
- Storage solutions
- Warming drawers
- Specialty cooking accessories
Everything shares the same clean, professional appearance.
The result is an outdoor kitchen that feels cohesive rather than assembled from multiple manufacturers.
Where Alfresco Isn’t Perfect
No grill deserves a perfect score.
Neither does Alfresco.
The biggest criticism we hear—and one we agree with—is that the ALXE’s overall design hasn’t changed dramatically over the years.
Compared to newer grills featuring bold styling or dramatic lighting, the ALXE can appear conservative.
Personally, we don’t view that as a major negative.
Timeless designs often age better than trendy ones.
Another consideration is ignition.
The ALXE continues using a traditional spark ignition system, while several competitors have transitioned to hot surface ignition.
Spark ignition has proven dependable over many years, but if we could make one improvement to the ALXE, upgrading this system would likely top our list.
The newer AIPG addresses several technological advancements, making this less of a concern moving forward.
Pros
- Most complete overall luxury grill package
- Exceptional cooking performance
- Premium 304 stainless steel construction
- Made in the USA
- Four grill sizes available
- Built-in smoker burner and smoker box
- Hidden rotisserie motor
- Optional infrared Sear Zone
- Outstanding accessory lineup
- Air cooling curtain protects controls
- Excellent long-term reliability
- Strong warranty coverage
- Proven engineering refined over decades
- Consistent manufacturing quality
Cons
- ALXE styling has remained largely unchanged for years
- ALXE uses spark ignition instead of hot surface ignition
- Less visually dramatic than some competitors
Who Should Buy an Alfresco?
If you’re investing in a forever outdoor kitchen and want a grill that balances performance, reliability, versatility, and long-term ownership better than anything else we’ve evaluated, Alfresco should be at the top of your list.
It’s especially well suited for homeowners who cook frequently, entertain often, and appreciate engineering that prioritizes lasting performance over flashy marketing features.
Whether you’re grilling burgers on a Tuesday evening or preparing a holiday dinner for twenty guests, Alfresco feels equally at home.
Who May Want to Consider Another Grill?
If striking industrial design is your highest priority, Hestan’s bold styling may appeal to you more.
If you specifically prefer hot surface ignition over spark ignition, DCS or Fire Magic may better match your preferences.
And if you’re looking for a truly unique infrared cooking experience unlike anything else on the market, TEC remains in a category all its own.
The good news?
There isn’t a wrong choice among the grills on this list.
Each excels in different ways.
Our Experience at Just Grillin Outdoor Living
After more than two decades of selling, designing, installing, and servicing premium outdoor kitchens, Alfresco continues to be the grill we recommend most often when homeowners ask for the best all-around luxury gas grill. It isn’t because it dominates every specification or has the flashiest appearance. It’s because it consistently delivers where it matters most. Owners love cooking on it. Warranty issues are relatively uncommon. The engineering has stood the test of time. Most importantly, years later, homeowners rarely tell us they wish they had purchased something else. That’s ultimately the highest compliment we can give any product.
Honorable Mentions: Outstanding Luxury Grills That Just Missed Our Top 5
Our Top 5 rankings weren’t easy to put together.
In fact, there were several exceptional grill manufacturers that came very close to earning a spot on this list. Every brand below builds a quality product, and for the right homeowner, they may still be an excellent choice.
Our rankings aren’t meant to suggest these grills are poor products. Rather, they reflect how we weighed craftsmanship, cooking performance, long-term reliability, warranty support, innovation, and overall ownership experience after more than two decades of selling, installing, and servicing premium outdoor grills.
Here’s why these respected brands narrowly missed the cut.
Kalamazoo
In a Class of Its Own
Some readers may be surprised that Kalamazoo isn’t ranked No. 1.
The truth is, Kalamazoo may very well build the finest outdoor grill in the world.
The craftsmanship is extraordinary.
The engineering is remarkable.
The materials are second to none.
Quite honestly, comparing Kalamazoo to the grills in our Top Five doesn’t feel entirely fair.
It’s similar to comparing a Rolls-Royce to a Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, or BMW. While all are premium automobiles, one occupies an entirely different pricing category.
That’s exactly where Kalamazoo lives.
The challenge isn’t product quality.
It’s accessibility.
Depending on configuration, a Kalamazoo grill can cost two to three times more than many of the luxury grills featured in this guide. For the overwhelming majority of homeowners—even those investing in premium outdoor kitchens—that price point simply falls outside a realistic budget.
If money truly isn’t a consideration and you demand uncompromising craftsmanship above all else, Kalamazoo deserves serious attention.
For everyone else, we believe the grills in our Top Five represent a significantly stronger balance of performance, features, long-term value, and investment.
Bottom Line: If your budget has virtually no ceiling, Kalamazoo belongs on your shortlist. For most luxury outdoor kitchen buyers, however, our Top Five delivers better overall value.
Twin Eagles
Beautifully Built, But Difficult to Justify the Premium
Twin Eagles has long been respected as one of the premier names in outdoor cooking.
Their grills are beautifully manufactured, thoughtfully engineered, and perform exceptionally well.
There’s very little to criticize regarding overall craftsmanship.
So why didn’t they make our Top Five?
For us, it ultimately comes down to value.
When comparing Twin Eagles against similarly priced competitors, we struggled to identify enough meaningful advantages to justify its premium. While the quality is unquestionably there, we don’t believe the overall ownership experience significantly exceeds brands like Alfresco, DCS, Fire Magic, or Hestan, despite often carrying a comparable—or higher—price tag.
That doesn’t make Twin Eagles overpriced in an absolute sense.
It simply means that, when we evaluate performance, warranty, innovation, available accessories, long-term reliability, and overall ownership together, we believe there are stronger options available at similar investment levels.
Bottom Line: Twin Eagles is an excellent luxury grill. We simply believe several competitors offer more overall value for similar money.
Lynx
A Strong Reputation, But One That Has Become More Difficult to Recommend
There was a time when Lynx was frequently mentioned among the very best luxury grills on the market.
Today, our opinion has become more measured.
To be clear, Lynx still builds a quality premium grill.
Many homeowners are perfectly happy with their purchase.
However, our own customer experiences over the years have been mixed.
Several clients who purchased Lynx grills before working with us later shared that the cooking performance didn’t live up to the expectations set during the sales process. In particular, some owners of the all-Trident burner models told us the grills tended to run hotter than they preferred, making it more difficult to cook delicate foods or maintain lower temperatures. Their feedback was that they simply didn’t enjoy using the grill as much as they expected.
Beyond customer feedback, we’ve also heard concerns from industry professionals about manufacturing consistency in recent years. While those conversations alone aren’t enough for us to draw conclusions, they reinforced what we were already hearing from some owners.
For those reasons, Lynx narrowly misses our Top Five.
That doesn’t mean it’s a bad grill.
It simply means we have greater confidence recommending the five brands that earned a place in this guide.
Bottom Line: Lynx remains a premium outdoor grill, but based on our experience and customer feedback, we believe there are stronger long-term choices available today.
Evo
The Premium Flat-Top Grill That Deserves Its Own Category

You may have noticed one well-known premium outdoor cooking brand missing from our rankings: EVO.
That omission wasn’t an oversight.
In fact, EVO is one of our favorite outdoor cooking appliances—but we intentionally chose not to include it because it simply isn’t a traditional gas grill.
Comparing an EVO to an Alfresco, DCS, Fire Magic, or Hestan would be like comparing a professional flat-top griddle to a restaurant charbroiler. While both are outstanding cooking appliances, they’re designed to do very different jobs.
That’s why we believe EVO deserves its own category.
Unlike conventional gas grills that cook over open grates, EVO features a large circular seasoned steel cooking surface that allows homeowners to prepare an incredible variety of foods that simply aren’t practical on traditional grill grates.
Breakfast becomes effortless.
Smash burgers develop a perfect crust.
Fajitas, stir fry, fried rice, hibachi, seafood, vegetables, pancakes, quesadillas, and delicate fish all become easier to cook with the EVO’s flat-top surface.
One of EVO’s biggest advantages is its unique temperature zoning.
Because the cooking surface is circular, the center of the grill reaches the highest temperatures while the outer cooking zones remain progressively cooler. This creates multiple cooking temperatures on a single surface, allowing you to sear proteins in the middle while gently warming vegetables or toasting buns around the perimeter—all at the same time.
It’s an incredibly intuitive cooking experience that many homeowners fall in love with after their first few uses.
Like the luxury grills featured throughout this guide, EVO is exceptionally well built. Manufactured in the USA with premium materials and commercial-inspired engineering, it’s designed for years of dependable outdoor cooking.
So why isn’t it on our Top 5 list?
Simply because it fills a different role.
If you’re looking for the unmistakable flavor and presentation that comes from cooking over open flame and stainless-steel grates, a traditional luxury gas grill remains the better choice.
If you love cooking breakfast outdoors, entertaining large groups, or preparing foods that would normally require multiple pans on the stovetop, an EVO can quickly become the most-used appliance in your outdoor kitchen.
In fact, many of our clients don’t choose between a luxury gas grill and an EVO.
They choose both.
A premium gas grill paired with an EVO creates one of the most versatile outdoor cooking setups imaginable, giving homeowners the ability to grill, sear, smoke, sauté, fry, steam, and prepare nearly any meal without ever stepping back inside.
Bottom Line: EVO isn’t absent from our rankings because it falls short of the competition—it simply competes in a different category. If your goal is building the ultimate outdoor kitchen, pairing a premium gas grill with an EVO flat-top grill is one of the best combinations you can invest in.
Final Thoughts: Which Luxury Grill Is Right for You?
If you’ve made it this far, you’ve probably realized something important:
There is no single “perfect” luxury gas grill.
Each brand on this list earned its place because it excels in different areas.
- TEC is the innovator, delivering unmatched infrared cooking performance and remarkable reliability.
- Fire Magic is the proven classic, backed by decades of dependable engineering and one of the industry’s strongest dealer networks.
- Hestan blends professional performance with architectural design and thoughtful innovation.
- DCS sets the benchmark for long-term durability and commercial-inspired cooking performance.
- Alfresco brings everything together into the most complete ownership experience we’ve found.
The best grill isn’t necessarily the highest-ranked one.
It’s the one that best fits your cooking style, entertaining habits, outdoor kitchen design, and long-term goals.
That’s why we encourage every homeowner to experience these grills in person before making a decision.
Lift the hood.
Feel the cooking grates.
Compare the controls.
Ask questions.
Because once you do, the right choice often becomes surprisingly clear.
One of the biggest misconceptions in the luxury grill market is that there’s only one “best” grill.
The reality is far more nuanced.
The brands featured in this guide—including the honorable mentions—represent some of the finest outdoor cooking equipment available anywhere. Each has its own strengths, loyal following, and ideal customer.
Our goal wasn’t to crown winners and losers.
It was to provide honest guidance based on more than 20 years of helping homeowners invest in outdoor kitchens they’ll enjoy for decades.
If you’re still unsure which grill is right for your home, we encourage you to visit Just Grillin Outdoor Living. There’s simply no substitute for seeing these grills side by side, comparing their features in person, and speaking with experts who have worked with each of them extensively.
