The Just Grillin Outdoor Living team was contracted to design and build an extension to the clients existing patio to feature a new custom screen enclosure and outdoor kitchen. This project was an add-on to new home construction in the Tampa, Florida area.

The client for this project wanted to extend their back patio while also extending their ability to stayed covered when enjoying the patio. Our teams design incorporated a hybrid screen structure that allows some light while protecting from rain and the sun.

The covered area has a translucent roof that allows small amounts of light through which helps keep the space relatively well lit during the afternoon and not as dark in the evenings. The roof was also designed to have an overhang allowing some extra protection from rain when opening the screened doors to step on the paver pads.

The screened structure is engineered to feature panoramic screens. This means that the screen is not as noticeable for better viewing and does not have as many support beams to block/obstruct the clients view. To achieve this feature, the structure and screen require special upgraded materials that are able to meet strict county/city code requirements for strength.

The outdoor kitchen is a custom l-shape design featuring dual grills, a bar area counter overhang and premium outdoor lighting. The kitchen features premium appliances from Artisan Grills, Big Green Egg, Coyote Outdoor Living and Zephyr.

The paver patio was extended to support the structure and match the existing pavers on the clients existing back patio area. You can see a picture of what the area looked like before our teams work started by scrolling through all pictures.
